Home > What is ARPP?
The Arkansas Regulatory Partnership Program, ARPP, is a cooperative effort between 22 of our state's pipeline
and gas companies and Arkansas One-Call to provide pipeline safety awareness information to emergency responders,
public officials, and excavators.
First responders training sessions are coordinated at the county level in cooperation with local emergency personnel
and ARPP. First responders that attend the training receive two hours of Continuing Education Credits from the Arkansas
Department of Emergency Management for Hazardous Materials Awareness.
Public officials, especially those involved in land use decisions, receive information designed to bring attention to
the presence of pipelines in their community. An emphasis is placed on awareness, land use planning, and damage prevention.
Call before you dig and safe excavation practices are the themes of excavator meetings facilitated by ARPP. Materials
specifically designed with a focus on pipeline safety are also distributed annually to excavators. Excavation safety meetings,
conducted by Arkansas One-Call on behalf of the one-call membership in addition to the pipeline members, provide ongoing and
frequent opportunities to inform and educate the excavation community.
